Provided you are between the ages of 25 and 75, have been driving for more than two years and have no more than 6 points insurance is included in the booking price for a named driver. Additional drivers can be added at a small additional cost.

All drivers will need to provide a DVLA license check, this can be done at the following link:

A copy of your driving license + one other form of  identification i.e. recent utility bill no older than 60 days

We are based in Dalkeith,  Edinburgh a second rental location in Aberdeen is on its way.  Both are located near the airport and have parking available for your car if required.  Airport pick up can be organised, although bases are a short taxi ride away.

We have  secure parking in Edinburgh within a lock up.  We can keep an eye on your car while away, but unfortunately we can not take responsibility for it.

Our normal pick up and drop off days are Saturday as the standard rental period is 7 days.  Drop off is at 10:00hrs and pick-up from 15:00hrs.  Please do not be late as this gives us time to prepare the van for the next guests.

Payment can be made ahead of time via bank transfer.  We request that full payment is made 4 weeks ahead of your trip.  A deposit of £150 is required to secure your slot at the time of booking.  

A refundable security deposit of £1,000 is required prior to departure in the event of any damage or issues.

We request that payment is made 4 weeks in advance, if you need to cancel before then no charge will be incured.  The following percentage of the booking cost will be due in the event of booking:

• 3 weeks - 25%
• 2 weeks - 50%
• Less than 2 weeks  or no show - full cost

If you require to cancel, please get in touch so we can work something out in good time.

No, we have specifically designed the vans to be gas free and heating/hot water runs on diesel from the main tank.  This is for safety reasons and ease of monitoring.

Typically this will take an hour, we would like to take the time to show you all the features and how to work them.  If you miss anything we provide a full guide to how everything works.  Ensure you take time to check for damage prior to departure, please highlight this to us so we are aware.

Provided there is no damage and the van is returned in the same condition you took it away this should take roughly 15 - 30 mins.

typically this shall take roughly 5 working days, but occasionally this may take up to 10 days as per our terms and conditions but we will aim to be much quicker.

Yes, as a dog owner I understand how important our four legged friends are to your trips.  We charge a small additional fee for cleaning.  All we ask is that you keep dogs off the seats and furniture.  We can provide dog beds too!

Campsites come with a number of amenities that you will not get when off grid.  Both vans are designed to be off grid with diesel heated cabin and water along with solar.  We ask that if you are not staying at a campsite that you use a recognised parking area where overnight stays are allowed and that you are respectful of neighbours.  At various times of year, availability at camp sites may be limited especially on NC500.

No, the vans are strictly no smoking.
